This week, the Miami-Dade County Commission unanimously approved plans for a major bayfront development at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive, clearing the way for a striking new global headquarters led by billionaire investor Ken Griffin.

A Transformational $2.5 Billion Brickell Development
The approved project will feature a 54-story mixed-use tower including premium office space, a luxury hotel, restaurants, curated retail, fitness and wellness amenities, and a publicly accessible waterfront promenade connecting to the Brickell Baywalk.
To advance the project, commissioners approved a zoning variance allowing the tower to be built 40 feet from Biscayne Bay, while still preserving public access along the bayfront. Citadel stated the project will “redefine the Miami skyline and revitalize the Brickell Baywalk,” with construction expected to begin in early 2026.
