Bausch + Lomb CEO Brent Saunders Buys Cher’s Former Miami Beach Mansion for $35.4 Million

By Brosda and Bentley Realtors

Brent Saunders, the Chief Executive Officer of Bausch + Lomb, has recently acquired the former Miami Beach residence of renowned artist Cher for a sum of $35.4 million. This luxurious property, situated on La Gorce Island, was initially listed at $42.5 million and successfully changed hands within three months of being on the market. Cher had originally purchased the waterfront estate in 1993 for $1.5 million and subsequently sold it three years later.

The distinguished buyers of this upscale residence are Brent Saunders and his wife, Daniela Botero, an actress and influencer. The property was acquired from financier James Eaton and his wife, Cecily, who had purchased it in 2020 for $17 million, according to property records.

Constructed in 1953, the Spanish-style house underwent a substantial transformation under the ownership of the Eatons, who enlisted the expertise of Menin Homes and Design for an extensive two-year gut renovation. The 12,450-square-foot residence, nestled on nearly three-quarters of an acre, boasts a grand entrance featuring a 19-foot ceiling foyer, Brazilian oak flooring, and a dual grand staircase.

The main floor hosts the primary suite, which includes a sitting room, an expansive wardrobe, a private terrace, a top-floor studio, and a bathroom equipped with a marble tub and center shower. The second floor comprises three additional bedrooms and a pair of guest quarters with private entrances.

The estate’s outdoor amenities include a 50-foot pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sun deck, sauna, and a pool house with a cabana bath. The property boasts 158 feet of direct water frontage along Biscayne Bay, complete with a private dock, offering a picturesque view and exclusive access to the waterfront. The acquisition of Cher’s former Miami Beach estate marks a significant transaction in the luxury real estate market.
